Ref. 178A / PN16 SINGLE ACTING AIR RELIEF VALVE ABDUCTION PN16

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS

DAVINCI SINGLE ACTING AIR RELIEF VALVE with ABDUCTION PN16 is specifically designed for efficient air management in water transmission and adduction pipelines. Its single-acting function allows the automatic intake and release of air, protecting the system from vacuum conditions and air accumulation that may compromise hydraulic performance.

Engineered for maximum working pressure of 16 bar (PN16), the valve operates within a temperature range of -10 °C to +90 °C with EPDM sealing, ensuring reliable performance in standard water distribution environments.

During pipeline filling, draining, or purging operations, the valve enables the rapid intake of large volumes of air, preventing vacuum formation and potential structural damage. In normal operation, it provides the controlled release of trapped air pockets, maintaining hydraulic efficiency and reducing the risk of pressure surges or flow irregularities. Its design also ensures prevention of unintended water discharge, guaranteeing safe and stable system performance.

The valve is flanged in accordance with ISO 7005-2, ensuring compatibility with PN16 pipeline systems. Each unit undergoes hydrostatic testing according to EN 12266-1, Class A, confirming structural integrity and sealing reliability. Manufacturing complies with relevant EC Directive requirements, meeting European quality and safety standards.

Robust construction, corrosion-resistant materials, and precision internal components ensure long service life and dependable operation in demanding infrastructure projects. This valve is an essential solution for safeguarding water transmission networks against air-related operational issues while maintaining system stability and efficiency.
