GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS

 

DAVINCI FLANGED DIAPHRAGM CONTROL VALVES are hydraulically operated valves developed to provide reliable, smooth, and adaptable control in pressurized water systems. Their diaphragm-actuated design uses the hydraulic pressure available in the pipeline to operate the main valve, allowing fully hydraulic configurations to function without an external power supply.

 

The valve can be used as a basic hydraulic control unit or equipped with different pilots and accessories to perform a wide variety of functions. Depending on the selected control circuit, it can be configured for automatic opening and closing, pressure reduction, pressure sustaining or relief, flow regulation, reservoir level control, pump control, and remote or solenoid operation. This modular concept allows one main valve design to be adapted to different operating requirements.

 

Its diaphragm-operated mechanism provides progressive opening and closing, helping prevent abrupt variations in flow and pressure. The controlled movement contributes to improved hydraulic stability, reduced mechanical stress on the pipeline, and dependable performance under changing system conditions.

 

The valve offers stable regulation across a wide operating range and provides drip-tight shut-off when complete closure is required. Its simple hydraulic architecture reduces mechanical complexity and facilitates the addition or replacement of pilot controls when the operating function of the installation needs to be modified.

 

A durable powder epoxy coating with a minimum thickness of 250 μm protects the body against corrosion and environmental deterioration. This coating contributes to extended service life in water distribution, irrigation, and industrial installations.

 

The flanged end connections are available in PN10 and PN16, with drilling according to EN 1092-2 and ISO 7005-2. These standards establish the dimensional and technical requirements applicable to circular cast-iron flanges used on pipes, valves, fittings, and associated equipment.

The product is manufactured in accordance with EN 1074-5, the standard covering functional requirements and verification testing for control valves used in water supply systems. Pressure testing is performed according to EN 12266-1, Leakage Rate A, which establishes the procedures and acceptance criteria for production testing of metallic valves. 

 

For the PN16 version, the valve is tested at a body pressure of 24 bar and a seat pressure of 17.6 bar. Test pressures for other nominal pressure classes must be adapted to the corresponding valve rating.

Standard working pressure ratings are 1.0 MPa and 1.6 MPa, corresponding to PN10 and PN16. The valve is suitable for water service and may be configured for working temperatures from −10 °C to +100 °C, provided that the diaphragm, seals, coating, and other internal materials are selected for the required temperature and pressure conditions. Applications approaching the maximum temperature must be confirmed with the factory.

 

The valve is designed to simplify servicing and reduce operational interruptions. Inspection and maintenance can be carried out without removing the complete valve body from the pipeline, helping reduce downtime, labour requirements, and maintenance costs. Pilot components can also be inspected or replaced independently according to the selected configuration.

 

DAVINCI FLANGED DIAPHRAGM CONTROL VALVES are suitable for municipal water distribution networks, irrigation systems, pumping stations, reservoirs, water treatment facilities, industrial water circuits, HVAC and cooling installations, building services, mining operations, and water-based fire protection networks. They can be installed wherever automatic hydraulic control, pipeline isolation, pressure management, flow regulation, or tank-level management is required.
