GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
DAVINCI PRESSURE SUSTAINING / REDUCING CONTROL VALVES are designed to perform two essential pressure-control functions within a single hydraulic unit. The valve maintains a preset minimum upstream pressure while simultaneously reducing the downstream pressure to a stable and controlled value. This dual regulation protects the supply network from excessive pressure loss and safeguards downstream equipment against high or fluctuating pressure conditions.
Available in sizes from DN50 to DN800 mm, the valve is manufactured with a high-strength ductile iron body, providing excellent mechanical resistance and dependable operation in demanding installations. All iron components are protected by a fusion-bonded epoxy coating, offering enhanced corrosion resistance and extended service life in municipal, industrial, and infrastructure applications.
Its internal operating mechanism includes a top- and seat-ring-guided stem and diaphragm assembly, developed to provide smooth movement, precise response, and long-term reliability. The nylon-reinforced diaphragm withstands continuous operating cycles, while the stainless steel seat and disc-retainer ring ensure durable sealing and effective protection against corrosion. The valve also provides drip-tight shut-off, helping prevent unwanted leakage when fully closed.
Thanks to its globe-pattern design, the valve offers excellent regulating and modulation characteristics under varying flow and pressure conditions. Its main operational advantage is the ability to preserve sufficient upstream pressure without compromising controlled downstream supply, making it particularly valuable in networks where different pressure zones must operate simultaneously.
The valve is engineered for convenient inspection and servicing. Maintenance can be carried out without removing the valve from the main pipeline, reducing installation downtime, simplifying routine operations, and lowering maintenance costs.
DAVINCI PRESSURE SUSTAINING / REDUCING CONTROL VALVES are widely used in municipal water distribution systems, irrigation networks, pumping stations, industrial facilities, mining operations, HVAC and cooling installations, high-rise buildings, reservoir supply lines, and fire protection systems. They are especially suitable for applications where the upstream network must retain adequate pressure while a lower and more stable pressure is required downstream.
A complete selection of pilots, filters, pressure gauges, isolation valves, and control accessories is available to adapt the valve to specific operating requirements. Optional V-Port trim can be supplied for enhanced regulation at low flow rates, while a double-chamber design is available for specialized hydraulic conditions.
