GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
DAVINCI SOLENOID CONTROL VALVES are hydraulically operated diaphragm valves designed to provide automatic ON/OFF control in response to an electrical signal. By means of a solenoid pilot, the valve can be opened or closed remotely, allowing fast and reliable management of the water supply without requiring direct manual intervention at the installation point.
Their main advantage is the ability to integrate into automated control systems, PLCs, timers, sensors, and SCADA networks. This enables operators to control flow according to programmed schedules, process requirements, alarm conditions, or signals received from remote monitoring equipment. The valve is therefore an effective solution for installations requiring centralized operation, rapid response, and improved system efficiency.
Available in sizes from DN50 to DN800 mm, the valves are manufactured with a high-strength ductile iron body for excellent durability and mechanical resistance. All iron components are protected with a fusion-bonded epoxy coating, providing long-term corrosion protection in water installations and demanding operating environments.
The internal mechanism features a top- and seat-ring-guided stem and diaphragm assembly, ensuring stable movement, dependable operation, and extended service life. Its nylon-reinforced diaphragm is suitable for frequent operating cycles, while the corrosion-resistant stainless steel seat and disc-retainer ring provide durable sealing performance. The valve also ensures drip-tight shut-off, preventing unwanted flow when the closing command is activated.
Thanks to its globe-pattern hydraulic design, the valve offers smooth operation and excellent control characteristics under changing pressure and flow conditions. The electrical signal operates only the solenoid pilot, while the main valve uses the hydraulic energy of the system to open or close. This configuration provides efficient actuation with low electrical power requirements, even in large-diameter installations.
The valve is designed to facilitate servicing and reduce operational interruptions. Inspection and maintenance can be performed without removing the valve body from the main pipeline, helping minimize downtime, labour requirements, and maintenance costs.
DAVINCI SOLENOID CONTROL VALVES are widely used in municipal water distribution networks, irrigation systems, pumping stations, industrial process plants, water treatment facilities, HVAC and cooling systems, storage tank installations, mining operations, and fire protection networks. They are particularly suitable for remotely isolating pipelines, controlling filling and discharge operations, managing irrigation zones, sequencing pumps and processes, and responding automatically to external control signals.
The valves are manufactured in accordance with EN 1074-5 and are designed and tested according to relevant standards including BS EN 1074-5, ISO 5208, BS EN 12266-1, and BS EN 558-1. Flanged connections are available in PN10, PN16, PN25, and ANSI Class 150, with face-to-face dimensions according to EN 558-1, Series 1.
Designed for water applications, the valve supports pressure ratings of up to 2.5 MPa and an operating temperature range from −10 °C to 80 °C. Pressure testing is performed according to EN 12266-1, Leakage Rate A, including a body test at 1.5 times the nominal pressure and a seat test at 1.1 times the nominal pressure. The product also complies with the EU Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU, where applicable.
A complete selection of solenoid pilots, filters, pressure gauges, isolation valves, and electrical control accessories is available to adapt the valve to different operating voltages and control requirements. Optional V-Port trim and double-chamber configurations can also be supplied for specialized applications. Please consult the factory for alternative media, operating conditions, or customized control arrangements.
