GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
DAVINCI REMOTE CONTROL VALVES are hydraulically operated diaphragm valves designed to provide remote opening, closing, or flow regulation from an external control point. Depending on the selected pilot and control arrangement, the valve can respond to electrical, hydraulic, or automated system commands, enabling efficient operation without requiring personnel to access the installation directly.
The main benefit of this configuration is the possibility of centralizing the management of water networks and industrial systems. Operators can isolate specific sections, modify operating conditions, coordinate filling or discharge processes, and react quickly to alarms or unexpected events from a control room or remote monitoring station. This improves operational safety, response time, and overall network efficiency.
Available in sizes from DN50 to DN800 mm, the valves are manufactured with a high-strength ductile iron body, offering excellent mechanical resistance and long-term durability. All iron components are protected with a fusion-bonded epoxy coating, providing reliable corrosion resistance in municipal, industrial, and infrastructure applications.
The internal mechanism includes a top- and seat-ring-guided stem and diaphragm assembly, ensuring stable movement, accurate response, and dependable performance over repeated operating cycles. A nylon-reinforced diaphragm provides long service life, while the corrosion-resistant stainless steel seat and disc-retainer ring ensure durable sealing. The valve also delivers drip-tight shut-off, preventing unwanted water passage when complete isolation is required.
Its globe-pattern hydraulic design provides smooth operation and excellent control characteristics under varying flow and pressure conditions. The main valve is operated by the hydraulic energy available in the system, while the control circuit receives the remote command. This allows reliable actuation of large-diameter valves with minimal external energy requirements.
The valve has also been designed to simplify inspection and servicing. Internal maintenance can be completed without removing the valve body from the main pipeline, reducing downtime, labour requirements, and operational costs.
DAVINCI REMOTE CONTROL VALVES are suitable for municipal water distribution networks, irrigation systems, pumping stations, water treatment plants, industrial facilities, mining operations, reservoir supply lines, HVAC and cooling installations, and fire protection systems. They are particularly useful for remotely isolating pipelines, managing distribution zones, controlling tank filling, coordinating pumping operations, and operating valves installed in inaccessible or hazardous locations.
Manufacture and performance comply with EN 1074-5, while design and testing are carried out according to relevant standards including BS EN 1074-5, ISO 5208, BS EN 12266-1, and BS EN 558-1. Flanged connections are available in PN10, PN16, PN25, and ANSI Class 150, with face-to-face dimensions in accordance with EN 558-1, Series 1.
Designed for water service, the valve is suitable for pressure ratings of 1.0 MPa, 1.6 MPa, and 2.5 MPa, and for operating temperatures ranging from −10 °C to 80 °C. Pressure tests are performed according to EN 12266-1, Leakage Rate A, including a body test at 1.5 × PN and a seat test at 1.1 × PN. The applicable requirements of the EU Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU are observed according to valve size and classification.
A complete range of remote-control pilots, solenoids, filters, pressure gauges, isolation valves, position indicators, and control accessories is available to adapt the valve to different automation and communication requirements. Optional V-Port trim and double-chamber configurations can also be supplied for specialized operating conditions. Please consult the factory for customized control arrangements, alternative applications, or specific system requirements.
